How these tools work
Each tool runs in your browser. Instead of sending your query to our server and showing you what came back, your browser asks the source itself: DNS questions go to public resolvers over DNS-over-HTTPS, registration data comes from the registry that holds it via RDAP, and your IP address is read from the connection. Every result can be traced to the server that produced it, and each tool page says exactly which third parties your browser contacts.
The trade-off is that a browser can only read services that allow it. Where a resolver or registry refuses, the tools say so rather than filling the gap with guesses.
